no podría ser mas precisa esta peli pues su nombre lo dice todo. un lejano lugar de la maravillosa américa. bélgica, esa tierra tan distinta y que encuentra un puente que conecta con los espíritus de la montaña. el sol y la luna. indígenas. mineras. el rito de la existencia... una peli con movimientos y sets tan mágicos y artísticos que te hacen adentrarte a otra dimensión. una zambullida al imaginario de esas culturas que resisten...

por cierto,  la fotografía es parte esencial del deleite que provoca altiplano. si pueden conseguir el dvd, no dejen de ver la galería de imagenes que tiene de ambientación música hecha nada mas y nada menos que por ignatz... así se las gastan los belgas.

"Another massive public service release from Sloow Tapes’ underground poetry wing, this time from Daniel Abdal-Hayy Moore, reading from his classic text, Dawn Visions, originally published by City Lights in 1964 when the author was in his early-twenties: Moore accompanies himself on zither throughout, creating the kind of miasmic psychedelic atmosphere associated with The Floating Lotus Magic Opera Company which Moore founded in 1966, incorporating Zen, world volk music and dance and the theories of Antonin Artaud alongside collaborators like Angus MacLise and Louise Landes Levi. In 1970 Moore renounced written poetry and became a Sufi and set out to travel the world, only breaking his silence in the early-80s when he went on to publish many works of poetry and prose. The Ecstatic Exchange also includes some more recent material, making it the perfect career-spanning work of one of the central figures in to come out of the multi-disciplinary tumult of the 1960s. "17 June 2012: While on a tour of Europe with Charalambides, Tom Carter was hospitalized in Berlin, Germany and has been in intensive care for over two weeks. He is currently being treated for serious complications of pneumonia. At this time, there remain many uncertainties regarding his condition, which continues to be variable and evolving. Hospitalization and a projected recovery could last at a minimum many weeks and possibly months.

The consideration and support that has already been expressed, during this time, is of great comfort to Tom’s family.

Many concerned individuals have asked about sending cards and flowers, all of which is greatly appreciated. However, the intensive care unit is not equipped to accommodate gifts. We will be sure to let everyone know if and when the hospital is able to do so. Additionally, Tom is currently unable to receive phone calls or visitors. Many individuals have also inquired as to what other assistance they can provide. Due to the severity of Tom’s illness, his hospitalization away from home, and the projection of a possible prolonged recovery, Tom and his family will certainly incur a more than significant financial burden. There will be medical bills as well as possible travel and housing expenses. It is thought that a considerable portion, if not all, of Tom’s recovery must take place in Berlin.

A fund is being established to receive donations to offset these costs. Information on how to contribute will follow as soon as it is available. Tom Carter’s generosity and modesty as a musician and friend, coupled with his dedication to a vision of spiritual music as transformative force, provides us all with a rare example of creative and personal possibilities intertwined. Let us keep Tom, whom we cherish, in our thoughts and attune our minds to his full recovery.

keijo es una joya que transporta a tierras lejanas y paisajes surealistas. tener 'paint all blue' en las manos y escucharle en casa es un billete de visita a un lugar de polvos dorados. un paisaje plagado de melancolias que bailan al ritmo del blues, acompañadas de la voz tan unica del keijo querido. definitivo, keijo es mi héroe :)

mi cuerpo está lejos pero mi mente está en méxico por eso comparto esta imagen que hice. 

un país inmerso en la corrupción, en la violencia, muerte, injusticias, dolor, rabia, pobreza, inseguridad, miedo y anexas -en esa sucia y turbia guerra, debe de despertar. tiene que haber una reacción creativa a todo esto. a los mexicanos, incluso los que estamos en otro punto del globo terraqueo, nos importa -más que nunca- el rumbo de este maravilloso y maltratado país.

hay un cartel zapatista que dice 'no a la guerra'. tiene también una frase real: "lo más oscuro de la noche es antes del amanecer". así está méxico, atravesando un oscurísimo y terrible momento, pero parece ser que sí, que por fortuna está despertando... y lo haremos con todo, porque en este mundo al revés aún existen sueños y despertares. mejor aún si despertamos juntos y tomados de la mano.

:: no sé en cuál minuto o cuadro ésta peli se fue a mi lista de pelis de la vida. no fue la etiqueta de drama la que me sacó las lágrimas, sino esa mirada entre dos mujeres que lo explican todo. porque así es esta vidosa, a veces nos golpea fuerte y cuando menos lo esperamos nos vemos náufragos en un sinsentido en que se ha convertido este mundo. por fortuna aún existen algunas luces hermanas... después de ver terraferma, me voy a la cama agradecida por ese shock emocional que me causó... además, al leer los créditos suena la versión de le vent nous portera de sophie hunger -que en mi caso- lo agudiza todo... very strong* ::
